Welcome to the 2007 November issue of the Seppelt eNewsletter. In this edition we will take another look at the new Seppelt Silverband wines, share a couple of great reviews of the Vineyard Range and taste the recently released Victorian red wines.

2007 has been a very busy year with the new Seppelt Silverband wines going from strength to strength, our Vineyard and Victorian ranges delivering great wines and our Jaluka Chardonnay winning at the 2007 Victorian Wine Show.

Silverband Wines

In June of this year Seppelt unveiled the new Silverband Wines, sourced entirely from the Grampians region. The wines, a Shiraz table wine and a non-vintage sparkling Shiraz, are named after the picturesque Silverband waterfalls, and display the unique Grampians’ terroir as well as the distinctive cool climate Shiraz fruit.

Seppelt Victorian Range

Seppelt's Victorian range continues to be a stalwart within the Seppelt stable with release of the 2005 Victorian Cabernet Sauvignon and 2005 Victorian Shiraz. Primarily sourced from Central and Western Victoria with components from other premium Victorian regions, the range represents a contemporary interpretation of classic wine styles with ripe, expressive flavours and fine tannins balanced by the essential elegance of Victorian wines.

Seppelt Vineyard Range

In September we released our definitive range of cool climate wines, the Seppelt Vineyard Range. These wines truly express the grape variety and the character of the region from which they are sourced, offering balanced flavours and great cellaring ability. The reds consist of three very different cool climate Shiraz, each with a bold and individual style that showcases classic fruit flavour framed by judicious use of oak. The white wine is the Drumborg Riesling which although only produced in very small amounts this year, only 100 cases were made, is sure to become a classic.
