The winemaking philosophy of the house of Seppelt is clearly evident in their outstanding collection of Tawny wines. Parcels of fruit from carefully selected Barossa Valley vineyards is vinified and carefully matured in small oak casks to create a style emphasising refined fruit. Seppelt Para Liqueur Barossa Valley Tawny was named after the Para river that flows through the centre of the Barossa Valley and instantly recognisable in its unique bottle. Para was first released in 1953 and quickly became an Australian legend with a distinctive style highlighting rich fruit flavours and great aged complexity. Seppelt 21 Year Old Para Liqueur Barossa Valley Tawny is a special single vintage release of Para Liqueur Tawny from barrels designated for the 100 year old programme. The wine demonstrates the trademark Para Liqueur Tawny complexity with particular intensity of flavour and pronounced aged rancio complexity. Seppelt DP 90 Rare Barossa Valley Tawny has reigned supreme on the Australian wine show circuit for over 30 years and as the most awarded wine of any style is rightfully regarded as the benchmark Australian Tawny. Fruit from extremely low yielding Barossa Valley Grenache and Shiraz vines is given extended maturation in small oak casks at Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley before careful blending to create a wine with incredible refinement, depth of flavour and complexity. The winner of 14 Trophies and 59 Gold Medals in Australian Wine Shows since 1990. Seppelt DP 30 Trafford Barossa Valley Tawny is created in the classic Seppelt style, focusing on complexity, finesse and depth of flavour. Parcels of ripe fruit are carefully identified and then matured in small oak casks at Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley to create a wine with a delicate balance of vibrant fruit flavours and rich aged complexity.
